Japanese NiGHTS Beta Footage + Interview - Sega Video Magazine (May 1996)

Japanese NiGHTS Beta Footage + Interview - Sega Video Magazine (May 1996)
In this segment, we are shown the initial unveiling of NiGHTS into Dreams... at the Japanese Tokyo Prince Hotel way back in March 26, 1996, followed by an exclusive interview with Yuji Naka, Naoto Oshima, and Takashi Iizuka, who were the producer & main programmer, director, and game designers of this game, respectively. What also makes this a big interest is that we are shown clear footage of the game's early stages of development, including a different stage layout for Spring Valley. Many of the sound effects heard are also very different, and even the music sounds unrefined! This segment originated from an episode of Sega Video Magazine, a series of Japanese VHS game preview/catalog tapes (presumably) distributed by Sega Enterprises during the high point of the Sega Saturn's success in Japan in the mid-90s. Nico Nico Douga is quite the treasure chest of gaming history for Japanese video games it seems. The source of this particular came from here: www.nicovideo.jp
